Will ENS domains take over the world?

Crypto.com makes big moves, ENS's new milestone, and Metaverse trademarking?

GM Degens!

Hey, and welcome to another issue of NFToday!

In moments of desperation, there are always opportunities. For some, that’s growth while for others, it’s improvements. Understand that time is super valuable and we need to make the best of it for better or worse. We all go through the same thing one way or another. It doesn’t matter if you’re overly successful or just getting going, remember this:

At every level/stage in your life, there will always be a devil to encounter! (Metaphorically speaking of course :))

Every decision and action you make or didn’t make affects the present and the future that’s being built in the background. When it comes down to the wire, do what’s best for you and take ACTION!

A little something to get you through the day; let's get on with some news!

Crypto.com is making BIG moves

https://www.cryptoarena.com/

In 2021, Crypto.com made a blockbuster deal signing a $700 million agreement for the naming rights to the Staples Center for the next 20 years.

Following the deal, Crypto.com has announced a 3 year renovation of the one million square foot arena!

Some of the extensive renovations to will include:

  • A reimagined City View Terrace with flexible indoor-outdoor dining

  • A multi-level Tunnel Club with featured hospitality spaces and exclusive viewing experiences.

  • Revamped Chairman’s Club (for ticket members and VIP guest).

  • New courtside suites that will provide a premium viewing experience.

  • ...and so much more!

“This renovation represents an exciting opportunity that will allow us to reimagine the premium experience for our guests with the creation of new premium inventory inside of our building,”

-Michele Kajiwara, Senior Vice President, Premium & Events Business at Crypto.com Arena.

It's safe to say Crypto.com has a pretty nice chunk of change...

    ENS surpasses 2M minted domains:

The Ethereum Name Service just hit a massive milestone!

Ethereum Name Service (ENS) registrations doubled in four months to 2 million as the community anticipates the shift to proof-of-stake consensus next month.

The issuance of .eth domains built on the Ethereum blockchain was off to a slow start (and heavy skepticism), taking five years to get to 1 million names, but has since accelerated with “The Merge” right around the corner.

The shift to .eth domains opens up a new chapter in the history of the internet, and it’s interesting to see how this evolution plays out in the long term.

    There Can Only Be One!

Mike Kondoudis, a prominent licensed trademark attorney on Twitter, revealed new information regarding some recent metaverse trademarks!

    The tweet reads,

"Football powerhouses REAL MADRID and BARCELONA have filed a joint trademark application covering:

    • Virtual reality gaming

    • Virtual clothing, footwear, headgear

    • Cryptocurrency transaction management software

    • ...and more!"
