The Good and Bad of Making Connections

GM!

Welcome back to NFToday!

Mexico has been incredible, and I appreciate you guys staying loyal despite the lack of news. I've got a ton of bookmarked stories and articles ready to write about.

Hopefully, some of you have found some enjoyment in this series; it's been a blast to write.

Today marks day 4!

  • The Importance of Sentiment Exchange

  • The Motivation of Reassessment

  • The Influx of New Opportunities

  • The Good and Bad of Making Connections

With that said, let's get on with the second guide!

Prologue

Networking gives a new meaning to the phrase, "I know a guy."

I.E., a construction contractor must have a dedicated lineup of experts ready for any project, whether he needs windows, flooring, interior design help, etc.

He's connected with prepared people.

Within web3, one of your goals should be to have a dedicated artist, designer, developer, etc., for any project.

Regardless of what you're trying to accomplish, having a slew of people will always help.

The Good

Aside from the benefits mentioned in the previous newsletters, here are some that aren't talked about too much:

  • An excess of knowledgable thoughts

  • Advice and support

  • Confidence builder

  • Personal Friendships

  • An answer to every question (perspective)

The Bad

It may sound a little contradictory to say there's a wrong side to networking, as I've preached the "low downside, high upside" aspect of networking.

Yet, there is a difference between someone wanting something from you and someone wishing to network with you.

I'm not going to name names, but the other day, someone shot me a message responding to a thread I wrote. He asked a question or two before directly linking me to some garbage NFT whitelist link.

Just ignore this type of stuff, and focus on the people genuinely intrigued to network!
