Reddit NFTs?

As mentioned yesterday, thanks for sticking with NFToday despite the lack of news.

Mexico was truly incredible! The waves were immaculate, the weather was perfect, and I even got a nice tan!

Even with how awesome it was, I always miss writing.

I was beyond stoked to hear/learn that Reddit was taking its iconic robot mascot into a slew of NFTs.

Similar to a profile picture, Snoo, the robot's official name, acts as one of Reddit's most unique and customizable profile features. Pre NFT integration, creators/artists have always done incredibly creative things with Snoo, everything from art to storytelling.

My favorite part?

Reddit currently boasts 400M+ monthly active users, which seems like a lovely outlet for adoption.

Their avatar marketplace is live and accessible via your profile's "style your avatar" section!

A few weeks ago, I wrote about Nickelodeon's entrance into web3, and I'm happy to report that more information has finally been released!

According to a slew of new tweets and a website landing page, the entertainment company's first NFT iteration will be a "mash-up" between two of Nickelodeon's most iconic IPs, The Rugrats and Hey Arnold.

Each NFT will equate to $50 and be limited to a supply of 10,000.

Introducing myNFT, a new NFT marketplace with an "edge."

myNFT recently secured $7M in its first Series A funding round; some of the platform's investors include:

LooksRare, a popular NFT marketplace, is giving away $10,000 to the best 10 artists who recreate the company's iconic diamond eye logo.

Amid a gnarly Texas heat wave, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas has requested that Bitcoin miners be temporarily turned off to hopefully avoid any potential energy blackouts.

Per a Bloomberg report, Texas consumed roughly 80,000 megawatts of electricity last Friday, the highest it's ever been.
