Starcatchers drama, Bitcoin price action, and a new BAYC scam!
Happy Hump Day
What are your thoughts on 3Landers?
I recently just sold one that I bought some time ago and I'm already missing the community. I know they have some wild stuff coming up, should I get back in? I'd love to know your thoughts!
Nevertheless, on to the news!
In today's newsletter:
⭐ Starcatchers pre-reveal metadata exploit!
📈 Bitcoin's double bottom?
🦍 This holder lost his BAYC due to faulty UI.
Projects mentioned in today's issue:
Starcatchers - Floor Price: .177 ETH
Boki - Mint TBA
BAYC - Floor Price: 111 ETH
Did the artist behind "Starcatchers" exploit pre-reveal metadata for profit?

Starcatchers #1755 - OpenSea
Yesterday, it was discovered that the lead artist behind Starcatchers had a peek at the metadata prior to the project's official reveal.
Doing this gave the artist the knowledge to find and purchase the project's mascot for 1.5 ETH, only to later flip it to the project's owners for a whopping 30 ETH.
To no surprise, the owners were shocked beyond disbelief. Co-founder @ethmaurice had this to say via the collection's discord,
"At the time, I had no reason to believe any malice at play. As a colleague and leader, I entrusted those individuals around me to act in good faith. So, to our holders, I apologize for this mistake and I will make it a point we do our due diligence with who we bring on or hire."
While the lead artist parted ways with the Starcatchers team some time ago, the damage that ensued on the project had already been done. The artist recently teamed with another upcoming project, "Boki," who announced today that they'd be parting ways with the artist following the newly discovered news.
While this may have put a damper on the team's mood, this was nothing more than a minor road bump. The team happily announced that nothing has changed regarding the project's future plans. They even announced a new collection designed exclusively by @arialxjade, the project's new lead artist!
With all said and done, I believe Starcatchers team did a fantastic job addressing the controversy and keeping their holders informed and in the loop.
Best of luck to the team and their future endeavors!
Bitcoin's resistance retest

BITCOIN 4HR - WEBULL
Bitcoin recently fell back to its previous resistance level of $44,700, only for the bulls to show the sellers whose boss!
Despite its recent fall in price, I'm still bullish! Three technical indications stick out to me when taking a look at Bitcoin.
The first upside indicator comes in the form of a bullish hammer. A bullish hammer is a candlestick formation that traders use to gauge the bottom of a downtrend.
More on bullish hammers here!
The second upside indicator comes in the form of a bullish setup known to many as a double bottom. A double bottom occurs when the price action of a tradable asset tests a significant level more than once to signify bullish strength.
More on double bottoms here!
Last but not least is Bitcoin's weekly MACD crossover. Similar to the Ethereum chart shown yesterday, Bitcoin's MACD momentum has shifted from red to green, indicating bullish sediment.
Bitcoin's Weekly MACD:

More on the MACD here!
As mentioned previously, a hold above this resistance level is key to future growth!
Note: This is not an indication to buy, it's simply my opinion and nothing more!
BAYC Swap Kiwi trade goes wrong:

BAYC #1584 - OpenSea
An ape owner who goes by "s27" just lost their BAYC and corresponding MAYCs through an NFT trading website Swap Kiwi.
Swap Kiwi acts similarly to any other NFT trading site. Two parties agree upon a given trade; once the transaction is said and done, both walk away with new NFTs!
Yet, in s27's case, he came out with three faulty BAYC NFTs due to the devious tactics used by the scammer.
Within Swap Kiwi's UI, NFT verification is shown as a green checkmark atop the NFT's art:

Using this checkmark to the scammer's advantage, he created three fake BAYC NFTs, all featuring an artificial green checkmark, making them look verified through Swap Kiwi's UI:

Lesson learned, if an offer is too good to be true, it most likely is.
Huge S/O to @0xQuit for the analysis on the topic!
