Hey, and welcome back to another issue of NFToday!

I hope you've all had a fantastic weekend so far!

Today's a special day for me IRL, my girlfriend and I are celebrating our two year anniversary, woohoo.

You might not see a whole lot of me on Twitter!

See ya Sunday!

Now, on to the news!

In today's newsletter:

  • NFL NFTs?

  • Talk about a BREAKOUT

  • Care Bear Market?

A touchdown for NFTs

The NFL (National Football League) is doubling down on NFT ticketing for the upcoming 2022 / 2023 season. Yup, you heard that right.

In February, the NFL partnered with Ticketmaster to offer an exclusive NFT to Super Bowl attendees.

The feedback was incredible.

Following this, the NFL released a series of emails asking fans and subscribers that they were potentially looking into NFT ticketing.

Similar to the Super Bowl, the response was overwhelmingly positive.

The NFL saw their average email open rate of 20% increase by nearly 50% to 60%, some emails even reaching a 75% open rate.

In email talk, a 75% open rate is practically unheard of...

As a result, the NFL will release free NFTs alongside ticket purchasers and move more towards NFT ticketing.

If executed properly, this will be HUGE for web3. Just think of how much media coverage the NFL gets. As always, I'll keep you updated!

Breaking the seal!

Yesterday, ETH had a $1,300 resistance level breakout!

Following the breakout, price action has remained relatively stable.

Despite a quick run-up, ETH seems to be holding the level nicely, though we may see some slippage in the coming days.

Yet, what's most important is holding above that $1,300 level.

Could this be the bottom we've been waiting for?

Care Bear Market?

Care Bear Forever

The Care Bears are BACK, and this time they're infiltrating the blockchain!

In partnership with Recur, the Care Bears will release their own NFT collection titled "Care Bears Forever."

While I was never big on Care Bears as a kid, it's incredible to see Recur helping web2 IPs build and bridge over to web3.

Some of Recur's other partnerships include:

  • Hello Kitty

  • Nickelodeon

  • Star Trek

While we've received very little information on this drop, I'm excited to see what will follow!

GL Care Bears!
