…and why is she launching a web3 investment fund?

I'm actually referring to Christie's, a world-renowned art auction house. 

For those unfamiliar with the auction house, it was actually founded in 1766 by James Christie. Christie's has established itself as a notable proponent within art culture and is most known for auctioning numerous Van Goghs! Over time, the auction house continued to grow/scale, all while staying true to its roots.

Yesterday, Christie's announced a new fund geared towards web3 venture funding.

With the cultural art focus that Christie's always had, this venture was created to embody just that. The action house claimed their first order of business would be to explore three avenues, two of which are art-focused:

• Web3 Innovation

• Art Related Financial Products/Solutions

• Seemless Consumption of Art Technology

Despite the announcement hitting the public today, Christie's has already set funding aside for LayerZero Labs, a cross-chain interoperability company.

It really boggles my mind how a company founded nearly 300 years ago would today be investing in web3 tech. What a time to be alive!

ETH had no problem touching a high of $1,624.70 yesterday.

In just shy of a week, ETH is up a whopping 50% from its previous $1,000 support bounce.

Alongside the bullish price action:

• Bitcoin is consolidating above $22,000

• Solana hit a yesterday high $46

• Polkadot is consolidating above $7.5

Does this mark the end of the bear market? All that praying might've paid off!

Alongside the release of Hyundai's new IONIQ 6 Electric Car, the company also unveiled an NFT membership that provides its owners with premium content!

At the time of writing this, utility includes:

The collection is limited to 5,000 NFTs featuring traits such as:
