OpenSea finally speaks out on verification:

OpenSea
Yesterday, OpenSea published a blog post on the two biggest problems plaguing its marketplace: an unclear/vague NFT collection verification process and the abundance of fake "copymints."
The mystery behind OpenSea's verification process has been an issue for some time.
For example, Invisible Friends had their collection verified on day zero (before anyone minted). While on the other hand, Alien Frens has yet to be verified, despite its long-established track record and high volume.
Verification
The OpenSea's blog post revealed that their future approach includes four changes to their current verification method:
"1. Switching to an invite-based system that broadens the number of creators eligible for verification. To start, any account with more than 100 ETH of collection volume will be invited to apply β we will continue broadening eligibility and invitations beyond this first tranche as we learn more.
2. An updated collection badge process that allows verified accounts to request badging for a collection with significant interest or sales (starting at 100 ETH of volume or more, broadening eligibility soon).
3. A new streamlined, in-product experience that notifies eligible creators directly on their profile pages and guides them through the process of account verification and collection badging.
4. A dedicated customer support team that will respond to account verification and collection badging applications within 7 days."
Copymints
Copymints are essentially fake/scam projects derived from actual projects that typically fool beginners who don't know any better.

Similar to the verification news, OpenSea announced two new changes to help counteract copymints:
"1. Image Recognition Technology β Our new copymint prevention system leverages computer-vision tech to scan all NFTs on OpenSea (including new mints). The system then matches these scans against a set of authentic collections, starting with some of the most copy-minted collections β we'll look for flips, rotations & other permutations. We'll expand this set over the coming months and constantly train our models to improve detection.
2. Dedicated Human Review β Making this image recognition technology work requires dedicated "humans in the loop" who can review removal recommendations and train our models continuously."
This is an excellent step in the right direction towards mainstream adoption and web3 safety. The longer these things are held off, the longer web3 will take to adopt.
Stay safe!

Bitcoin Weekly - Webull
What would you do if I told you, that you could go back in time two years and invest as much money as you'd like in Bitcoin? Sounds like a pretty good offer, right?
Well now, you can!
Bitcoin is currently trading around $27,000 (the same price in December of 2020) with no real indication of a bottom.
Other notable prices:
Ethereum - $1,907.74
Solana - $44.63
Luna - $0.13 (holy shit...)
Pray for your portfolios frens, and as I mentioned previously... BUY THAT DIP!
Lil Nouns!

Lil Nouns
Lil nouns is an unofficial derivative NFT collection inspired by the current monster of a DAO Nouns!
For those unaware, "Nouns are an experimental attempt to improve the formation of on-chain avatar communities. While projects such as Cryptopunks have attempted to bootstrap digital community and identity, Nouns attempt to bootstrap identity, community, governance, and a treasury that can be used by the community...One Noun is trustlessly auctioned every 24 hours, forever." - Nouns.
Other Nouns benefits include:
Art is public domain.
100% of proceeds are allocated to the Nouns DAO
1 Noun = 1 Vote
On the other hand, Lil nouns were created to bring more exposure to the Nouns ecosystem with "one lil noun, every 15 minutes, forever."
The benefits and utility are essentially the same as Nouns, with minor differences.
Nevertheless, Lil Nouns has created a small ecosystem within a larger, more established ecosystem with the community at the center of it all.
I highly recommend you check them out; this is not an ad or anything. I've always been intrigued by the Nouns ecosystem, and this is no different!

I need your opinion!
After documenting an entire week of Step'n, I wanted to get the reader's opinion on my updates!
After some thought, I figured I might be better off providing weekly updates rather than daily updates.
While it may be interesting to hear about how much GST is received and what I got from my upgrades, I feel all of that could easily be explained better and more efficiently in a weekly update instead of daily. I then try to fill the empty space with how my walk went, and I know that's not the type of stuff y'all care aboutπ€£
Nevertheless, I wanted to get the reader's opinion. Please vote!!!
Only answer if you read the newsletter!
Iβm thinking about moving my STEPN updates from daily to weekly.
Aside from my daily GST earnings, I essentially write about my 10 minute daily walkβ¦ and Iβm assuming no caresπ€£π€£
Nevertheless I wanted your feedback!
