A little rant on AR:

Qualcomm's new AR glasses

Virtual Reality is truly one of our century's most impressive technological breakthroughs. As someone who's spent hours on end in my quest 2, I can't help to agree with Zuckerberg's bullish remarks.

Despite this, VR headsets are still leagues behind mainstream adoption. While it's safe to say that the current headsets available on the market have created the foundation for what Metaverse holds, the "Ready Player One" concept is far from being a reality.

Yet, in my opinion, Augmented Reality is a topic that may possibly have more potential in the coming years/decades as opposed to the fully immersive VR headsets.

For those who aren't aware, Augmented Reality is a technology that combines a user's view of the real world with objects and/or sounds created by a computer. If you've ever played Pokemon Go, when you view a Pokemon through the real-world camera feature, you're experiencing AR. AR glasses have the potential to provide the innovation of VR when the practicality of future use cases.

For example, imagine:

  • giving a fist bump to a new acquaintance and then becoming friends on social media.

  • being able to look up the stars and having AR tech map out the constellations.

  • looking at a piece of art as your glasses show the date it was completed and the artist behind it.

With all this aside, I bring this up as Qualcomm recently unveiled their new AR advancements at a technology event in China. While the image above features a pair of glasses, Qualcomm is actually developing the technology within the wearables. Similar to how Nvidia develops microchips.

Some companies, like Meta and Apple, have already announced that they intend to take AR technology very seriously in the coming years. This, in combination with the Metaverse, can really equate to something special!

Is Bitcoin on the come up?

Bitcoin Weekly - Webull

Bitcoin is looking great!

We had some solid bullish consolidation last week, and the start of this week is no different.

As seen by the weekly chart above, Bitcoin has continued to stay above its $30,000 demand zone. One tweet from Musk, and we're off to the mooooonn!

Are you buying? I'd love to know; let me know on Twitter!

You can now trade NFTs on OpenSea...

Yesterday, OpenSea announced the launch of its SeaPort protocol, essentially allowing its users to trade NFTs for NFTs:

"Most current NFT marketplaces only allow for listings where one party agrees to supply an NFT and the other agrees to supply a payment token. Seaport takes a different approach: offerers can agree to supply a number of ETH / ERC20 / ERC721 / ERC1155 items — this is the "offer." In order for that offer to be accepted, a number of items must be received by the recipients indicated by the offerer — this is the "consideration." - excerpt from the OpenSea blog.

While there are many NFT trading protocols already currently available, these protocols are notoriously used by scammers using shady tactics to steal NFTs. If all is done correctly, this protocol could drastically change how we transact our NFTs!
