It's been awhile...

Hello frens, welcome to another issue of NFToday!

Long time no see! For those who weren't aware, I spent the last week on the lovely Island of Oahu. I've had this trip planned this trip for ages now, and the time with friends and family did not disappoint!

I debated continuing to write NFToday throughout the week but ultimately decided last minute that I wanted to enjoy my vacation to the fullest!

Thanks for the patience and, more importantly, for sticking with NFToday despite my vacation!

A few days ago, Doodles hosted its long-anticipated press conference at NFT NYC, revealing a slew of new alpha, including:

• Doodles 2, a new non-dilutive collection.

• New Shopify Partnership

• Doodle's first successfully funding round.

Alongside these exciting announcements, the Doodles team happily welcomed (drumroll please) Pharrell as the collection's new Chief Brand Officer!

My opinions? WOW... think of the connections!

Doodles have been on f**king fire lately! All the more reason to pick one of those colorful mfers up.

From weird attic antiques to fresh-out-the-box sneakers, eBay has it all.

As a global marketplace for physical items, the e-commerce behemoth, as a means of adapting, intends to feature NFTs on its already widely successful platform.

On June 22nd, eBay announced its acquisition of KnownOrigin, an NFT marketplace that has generated roughly $8M since its initial launch in 2018.

With eBay's current monthly user volume (700M to 1B active monthly visits), adoption is sure to follow!

A few days ago, Solana revealed new information regarding its latest endeavor, the Solana Mobile Stack (or SMS).

SMS is an open-source developer kit that will allow anyone to integrate the SOL blockchain with newly created web3 dapps.

Alongside the announcement, Solana Labs intends to:

• release a phone titled Saga alongside the software

• include a mobile wallet adapter protocol

• create a secure vault for private keys/phrases titled Seed Vault.

• build a solana dapp store

• and more

My advice?

Maybe Solana should get their outage problem under control before manufacturing a mobile device.

U.S. media company TIME has teamed up with global metaverse company The Sandbox to recreate New York's iconic Time Square!

Similar to the stretch of land in real life, Time Square's digital counterpart intends to embody everything from commerce, art, and everything in between.

"Our goal is to create a destination that will be the heart of the metaverse. Since launching TIMEPieces in September 2021, we have focused on developing a community in Web3 that benefited from the incredible 100-year legacy and access TIME has established."

A few days ago, VaynerNFT (a subsidiary of Gary Vee's VaynerX) announced a partnership with Reddit to educate those looking to learn more about NFTs through what they call "The ABCs of NFTs."
