The aftermath of Luna 2.0...

Luna 2.0 is live, Crypto looking fine, and scammer get scammed!

GM frens!

Hey everyone, and welcome to another issue of NFToday!

For those who didn't end up stopping by our weekly spaces yesterday, I wanted to give a quick shoutout to the team behind Pentas.io, an NFT marketplace that sprung up out of seems to be nowhere.

After hearing @iAmM0rpheu5 (one of the project's co-founders) speak for just five minutes, I quickly realized that the team was on to something special.

With culture, community, affordability, and empowerment at the forefront of their work, it would be a lie to say I'm bearish!

I highly recommend you check them out, and while you're at it, give our recorded space a listen!

Quick BTW, this isn't an ad or anything; I just enjoy what they're doing!

Now, on to the news!

Luna is BACK...to crashing:

Luna 2.0

Yesterday morning (5/28) marked the launch of Luna 2.0.

With no surprise to many, the freshly minted tokens lost nearly 70% of value in less than 24 hours. While the price of Luna 2.0 is currently consolidating around $6, it's hard to assume that it'll stay above that price, considering the reputation Luna has presently.

As expected, many on Twitter shared their opinions - some good, mostly bad, and a little bit of humor:

Despite the founder's new revamp strategy, I (and many others) would suggest staying away.

Stay safe!

Crypto looking good!

Bitcoin 4hr - Webull

The tailing wicks say it all, Bitcoin and other cryptos may be on edge, but they look great!

This type of price action, in combination with the:

  • decrease in inflation

  • stock market sediment

  • bullish momentum indicators

Crypto is looking more and more poised to bounce!

Despite the positive outlook, anything can happen.

Now, we wait!

SCAMMER get SCAMMED:

I was recently met with a thread on Twitter that shared a rather revengeful story (in a good way).

Through the collaborative power of a Solana-based NFT community, a group of individuals had successfully scammed a scammer.

Here's a quick rundown of how it happened:

  • A few days ago, a hacker infiltrated a recently minted NFT project's discord. As a result of the breach, a hacker drained 109 wallets for 150 SOL.

  • The most affected person, having owned 25 NFTs from a Solana collection titled: World of Solana (WoS).

  • In an attempt to retrieve some of the newly stolen NFTs, WoS's dev set the project's royalties to a whopping 98%.

  • 2 days later, in an attempt to cash out, the hacker listed his NFTs via Magic Eden.

  • Shortly after being listed, the community instantaneously scooped up the stolen assets.

  • The NFTs were then transferred back to the original owner!

Quite a heartwarming web3 story!
