A few days ago, our lord and savior Vitalik tweeted a link to an ERC721 forum speaking on Stealth NFTs. In Vitalik's words, these "stealth NFTs" are,

"A low-tech approach to add a significant amount of privacy to the NFT ecosystem."

He then went on to describe that the process would work as such,

While some of the tweet's underlying comments were in favor, the overwhelming majority of them criticized the idea of the idea:
